Reformed
and Baptistic churches often write to us requesting information about what material we
at GBC use in our children's Sunday School. Though we may not be
giving you the answer you desire, for we are in the process of developing our
own curriculum for several classes, the following is a list of our basic program:
NURSERY DEPARTMENT
2 & 3 year olds
Subject matter: Visualized Bible stories for the Old
and New Testament*.
Memory work: The Catechism for Young Children
BEGINNER DEPARTMENT
4 year olds through kindergarten
Subject matter: Visualized Bible stories*.
Memory work: The Catechism for Young Children
*These
are examples of the flannel graph pictures that are used.
PRIMARY DEPARTMENT
1st Grade
Subject matter: The story of God’s redemption is
developed from both Old and New Testaments. (Great Commissions Publication
materials used.)
Memory work: The Catechism for Young Children
2nd Grade
Subject matter: The story of God’s redemption is
developed from both Old and New Testaments. (Great Commissions Publication
materials used.)

3rd Grade
